Artist's Comments

Finally a manip again. Since I don't have much time to really sit and relax I've decided to work on the manips with a lot of breaks for work, school, ~Elektronaut- , etc. So, here's one now which I started a few days ago.

The credit for the picture goes out to ~defabe-stock who truly has some great stocks. This was the first one I've used, I'm sure I'll use a lot more of his pictures.

I've put a lot of effort on the wings. More than usual even.. I don't know where I got the originals from, so let me know when you find out will ya? I tried to make em look as real as possible and I think I managed at least a bit.. Lemme know what you think

Full view is still best view

Comments, favs, etc very much welcome :thanks:

Thank you very much! ^_^

Well.. it was 1 brush, which I copied once to make a big left and big right wing. Played a lot with the lightness and some layer masks etc. Tried to keep the visibility, light and shadows in mind. After that I copied one of those again to make the two smaller wings, this was a lot harder since I really had to think about the shadows with the arms and the shoulders 'n stuff.. Think it worked out pretty nice though.. Thanks for your compliment!

suddenly it is clear to see that it is not them but me, who has lost my self-identity.
As I hide behind these books I read, while scribbling my poetry,
like art could save a wretch like me, with some ideal ideology that no one can hope to achieve.

Thank you! Don't faint.. *catches*

I really like your use of shadows. I agree with you about the wings. It looks like you took care to make them look real. I think they're great! The model is cute too :eyepopping:
