Rigor Mortis. by Anoya Rigor Mortis. by Anoya
I'm very aware of the fact that Rigor Mortis is only about muscles and corpses, and not about dead flowers and plants. I still felt like this was the most appropriate title. I think I never took this long to come up with a good title. I thought of 'splitting', since the two dead parts of what once was the flower, are parting, but it just didn't fit. Splitting brought me the BPD and to Freud.. and that just went too far.

Rigor Mortis it is.

Rigor Mortis II. - Part II.
Rigor Mortis III. - Part III.

Taken with a Canon 400d, Tokina 100mm f/2.8.

This is one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. I'm not a photographer and know very little about photography, but I absolutely adore this shot. Fantastic work.

I feel it lacks something. Well...something has been over-done. The blure/focus. Maybe if more of the background (further away parts) was a little more 'in focus', it would feel better. (Not going to say look better because it allready looks amazing)

I don't really understand the overdone, since it's not blurred nor did I work on the focus  I think you mean the DOF, but I'm not sure. If there would be a lot in focus, it's not 'me', since that's not my style. It might lack something, or have too much negative space, but I do think people forget that it's representing 'Death'.

Thanks much!

Feeling that I feel when I look at this:
Ease, neutral(ish), depressed and empty. But, it's all in a good way. (:

It's not less sharp than before. I just darkened the right side and corrected the levels.
