Rigor Mortis II. by Anoya Rigor Mortis II. by Anoya
"I'm very aware of the fact that Rigor Mortis is only about muscles and corpses, and not about dead flowers and plants. I still felt like this was the most appropriate title."

Rigor Mortis. - Part I.
Rigor Mortis III. - Part III.

I have a sudden crave to photograph dead flowers and plants.

Taken with a Canon 400d, Tokina 100mm f/2.8.

It being in greyscale also adds a lot to the overall mood of it.

Mwa, auto's, meervoud =P Maar niet zo vaak, al werk ik er nog wel veel, maar meer op het terrein en anders moet ik de chassisnummers inscannen of uitscannen, ook leuk! :giggle:

Break genomen VAN school/werk/liefde of VOOR school/werk/liefde? :O

I absolutely love the textures in this image! And the delicate lace-like quality of the tattered leaf is beautiful!

Great work, as usual! :thumbsup::)

interesting shot and although i know you've chosen the critique not desired option i feel inclined to say i would have liked a bit more dof. Just the same, it's an interesting image, just like it's prequel.

I don't do a lot of DOF. Just like with my other shots. This kind of DOF is typical for my style =)

I like the dead plants. At least, I think there is still so much you can do with them. Well, you can do anything with everything if you take the time. Anyway, this is just lovely. And the greyscale really tops it off beautifully.

Very much! My mom was looking at me with this weird look when I asked "What's this?" and showed her the dead plants. She replied with "How should I know? It's dead". And I took it inside. Few hours later I showed her RM III. and she was looking at it all surprised, saying; "Did you do thát with the dead plant?!". And she looked all proud when I said yeah :giggle:

Thanks, hon. I think it suits me. The duotone, the square, the style.. it feels like 'me' =)
