This is a Squirrel Monkey, also in Dutch a 'Doodshoofdaapje' which means 'skull monkey' if you'd literally translate it to English. Both titles didn't seem to fit me and the photo, so I figured I'd take the Latin name; Saimiri boliviensis.

I went to the Apenheul yesterday. Sort of a zoo, but the monkeys can run freely between the people in the biggest part of the park. These little fellas weren't scared at all, and really curious if you'd ask me. I have some pictures, like this one, that they look straight into the camera.. but they can't really sit still. You can see from the hand as well since it's slightly moved. I'm sure I'll go back to the park when I have my 70-200mm f/2.8 USM IS, hehe.

I have a few more shots that I might upload, but I liked this one the most!

Taken with a Canon 400D + Tokina 100mm f/2.8 macro with Hoya circ. pol. filter (since I forgot it was still on).
