To make a long story short, I had an Awesome time with =Talescaper ~secretfool `MC-Frizzle ~Leeuwtje *Lizzepizz (= Group 5), `Norke ~NikiVandermosten *Tourash ~knetti and ~GoalieBagheera ( =Group 8). Lots of talking, laughing, great times!

The devMEET we had last Saturday was awesome! Or we made it awesome with 11 of us anyway. We were supposed to be at Utrecht Central Station at 13.00, but I didn't want to arrive when the group was almost complete, so I decided to be there around 12.35. =Talescaper agreed, and lives close to a station where my train would stop, so he jumped in (while I sat down in a 'no talking zone', how smart is that?).
The arrival at the group was a bit weird, since there were apparently more meetings being organized around the same time. I seriously didn't recognize anyone at first and no one had stickers and such yet. =Talescaper recognized a tiny girl (sorry) with a witch hat and I recognized her ghettoblaster bag. Yay! =Zienna was there!
A little while later someone decided to make stickers and finally I recognized some people, by name (sorry), and there were ~secretfool and `MC-Frizzle (late as always, right? haha). We talked a bit with ~Leeuwtje and *Lizzepizz and when we were told to group as a team of 5 to 6 people, we were done pretty fast. We already read there would be some scavenger hunt thing, but not many of us were feeling like doing one of those. Even more because the weather seriously sucked!
When we were finally 'allowed' to leave the station we went straight to the HEMA, but apparently another group did that as well, and I thought out loud 'maybe they don't feel like doing it either?', and we hooked up with team 8 (we were team 5, and team 8 included 5 people; *Tourash `Norke ~NikiVandermosten ~knetti and ~GoalieBagheera) and went to a bar called 'Stairway to Heaven'. We drank some beers or cokes and talked a lot. Drew some things (you can see those in the gallery/journal of *Lizzepizz) and talked a bit. We looked some sketchbooks, `Norke apparently turned out to be our group photographer of that day 'cause he blinded us all with his non stop flashing At 15.45 we were supposed to be at 'Broodje Mario', a tiny pizza place, where the winners of the scavengerhunt would be announced or whatever. There was a little panic because people were either lost or missing, among them *Tourash and ~GoalieBagheera who both wholeheartedly deny it haha. After that, we went to get a group picture at the Domkerk followed up by another bar where group 5 ate and group 8 was watching After that we all went back to the station because it was 18.30 already, group 8 wanted to eat at some wok restaurant and some of us already went home. Like myself, because I had to feed my cats and bunny and it was another 1,5 hours back home with the train.

It was my first meeting from dA but it was seriously Awesome. There were probably about 40 to 50 people and I didn't speak to most of them but the little group we turned out to be was great fun! I had a great time, lots of laughs and I slapped `MC-Frizzle about 15 times, kicked *Tourash's ass and had bruised knees from the restaurant where we ate and their weird tables. I dragged my camera and massive lens along all day and ended up with zero pictures!

Next Saturday (the 31st) I'm meeting up with `anmari who's coming over from France. She was supposed to meet us last weekend, but something came up and she had to reschedule. I know =Zienna's coming again (who ended up being painted green and witchy Saturday by the way) and ~Zandaa if I remember correctly. ~QwakQwak might be there, and some others. And the weekend after that one, I'm possibly meeting up with *Tourash again, because he wants either liquorish or Pringles from me, without kicking his ass.

TL;DR?

It was and will be fun!
